The items we carry
 We have chosen a selection of our favorite products that we hope you will enjoy and benefit from too. Some of the things we look out for in our items are that they are really useful and help us enjoy our daily activities with our friends and family.

What does "Simply Peaceable" mean?
 Simply means that it is just so.
Peaceable means without strife, calm, tranquil..comes from the root word "peace".
Peaceably is another related word.

As far as possible…
To provide quality items at reasonable prices and great customer service and care, whilst encouraging thought and actions towards the care of the environment.

Reasonable Prices

  • Quality, labor and sustainability costs
    If you think that the items are not reasonably priced or are more expensive than what you normally pay, we would like to emphasize the quality and what goes into them, including the type of ingredients. Yes, it may be true that organic and wood items are more expensive than non-organic and plastic items (which are also more easily produced using a mould and are lighter to ship). However, more is less and perhaps better quality can help to prolong and repeat use of the item.

    • Also, it could be that you are paying lower prices on other items because somewhere someone who is producing it is not getting a fair pay. Or perhaps there is no concern for sustainability. Plastics are non-biodegradable, usually for up to 500 years.

  • Additional overheads
    We try our best to reduce packaging, as we do not want to pass this on to you or any customer. Think about it – after you get something in paper/plastic carrier bag, what do you do with it? Perhaps you’ll admire it for a while if the design is nice, but most likely it’ll be stuffed in some corner of your storeroom or in a drawer. When that’s too full, or spring-cleaning comes along, the bags are thrown, without having been reused even once! Many people even complain that they’ve got too many of these at home. This is the type of situation we want to avoid creating. This saves the customer money because we’re not into making the customer pay for something they were not really looking for.

    • We would appreciate your help through bringing your own carrier or returning ours after use if you got one.

  • Just what we believe in…
    To us, milking the customer for what he/she is worth has absolutely no part in what we believe in. We strive to be fair in our dealings and give the best deal we can in a business setting.

    • Customer care

    We strive to meet your expectations and beyond. Despite being an online store, we also want to you to feel that we’re here to listen and help. Thus, we strive to reply to your emails by the next day.

    Environment and the 3Rs

    Some ways we hope to encourage going green (as some people call it):

  • Offering items that are organic, natural, reusable & recyclable and biodegradable.
  • Packaging in non-plastics that are biodegradable. However, paper is also a finite resource
    • that needs to be used wisely. Thus, reduction and reuse of packaging are also important.
  • Ensuring that the wood used to make the items is from sustainable sources.
  • Providing education and information on ‘green issues’ in our webpages.

    • Why we try to reduce packaging
     We do not believe in excessive unnecessary packaging that is thrown away after one use, especially if it is non recyclable/reusable. Thus, we encourage you to take no packaging on your items, especially if they are hand-delivered. However, if required/necessary, a paper bag will be used to carry your items and we encourage you to recycle/reuse any packaging supplied. Items in some of the brands we carry may also come in their own recycled packaging (such as Beauty and the Bees). We do, however, have a simple paper gift-wrapping option for items meant to be given. We strive to use recyclable materials in the wrapping/decorations and will continue to source for more and more eco-friendly/sustainable options. We encourage you to recycle/reuse the wrapping/decorations if possible. If you have a comment or suggestion for the packaging, such as on its appearance, practicality or reuse/recycle value/ecofriendliness, please feel free to contact us.

    Why we try to reuse or recycle
    We believe in trying our best to extend the life of an item or reusing it. Besides offering a library to allow others to read the books in our library, we try to offer items that are reusable or recyclable.
